Turano in tour

A systemic and integrated project for the promotion and enhancement of the human, cultural, natural, and environmental heritage of the Turano Valley.

The initiative was launched in response to the public call “Enhancement and Promotion of the Villages of Lazio” as part of the Year of Villages in Italy, declared by MIBACT in 2017. Its aim is to promote the development of sustainable tourism and improve job opportunities and the quality of life for residents of the Turano Valley.

TURANO in TOUR is a tourism-cultural promotion program focused on the historical, gastronomic, and landscape heritage of nine municipalities in the Province of Rieti. It also comprises a set of territorial marketing actions to promote local identity and the unique features of Lake Turano.

This is complemented by training programs for students of Tourism and Hospitality high schools, aimed at developing professionals with transversal technical skills who are able to plan, design, manage, and promote activities in the cultural sectors.

A professional development program directed at operators within the cultural-tourism system (Pro-Loco associations, park authorities, mountain communities, etc.) aims to update the skills of those already working in the sector, ensuring the sustainability of projects and initiatives.
