SEMInativi – cultivating community is a project supported by the Fondazione CON IL SUD that aims to promote active citizenship and environmental protection through the development of widespread rural park and ecological actions by networking public and private spaces managed by ETS, in which young people are protagonists of a new territorial identity through the redefinition of the environmental and human landscape.

Through the diverse partnership, an educational network will be created to experiment with community engagement formats and methods to provide opportunities for youth and the community.

In the face of the environmental desertification that characterizes the target territories, the project aims to create networks of institutions, cultural and social organizations and other local stakeholders to generate spaces that trace the connection with the territory’s human capital, intercultural richness, as well as the rediscovery and planting of typical tree varieties for a culture of environmental well-being.

Within the project ECCOM supportsthe Lead Entity in monitoring and impact assessment activities.

Throughout the project, models and indicators specific to cultural and social innovation experiences will be used (ex-ante, in itinere and ex-post monitoring and evaluation).

Consideration will be given to the different actions under the project and the results achieved from time to time, engagement strategies, and different levels of volunteer and citizen participation in the activities.

The evaluation process will be developed according to a logical model structured in several stages, starting from the analysis of the initial situation, the development stage and the ex-post stage.

In addition, a toolkit will be created to ensure the monitoring of the project in all actions and also to take into account the different actors that will take part in the project: partners, third sector entities, for-profit entities, and public entities that will collaborate in the project; volunteers already participating in the project and new volunteers; and citizens who will participate in the activities.
