|2006| In the penitentiary of Rebibbia a course for “Workers specialized in archaeological excavations, in the maintenance of cultural heritage and green areas and historical gardens”.

ECCOM carries out a training course for “Workers specialized in archaeological excavations, in the maintenance of cultural heritage and green areas and historical gardens” for people in detention in the Roman penitentiary of Rebibbia Nuovo Complesso. It also creates an Antiquarium, where to set up archaeological finds from the Roman era restored during the course.
About twenty students participate in the two editions of the training course. The training activity consists of three modules (“The ancient world”, “Archaeological excavation techniques and graphic documentation”, “Green areas in archaeological areas”) and combines classroom theory and practical training, thanks to the archaeological finds made available by the Archaeological Superintendence of Rome, coming from an excavation carried out between 2001 and 2003 inside the Rebibbia Nuovo Complesso Penitentiary Institute.
The contents and structure of the course are developed by Emilio Cabasino, Cristina Da Milano and Martina De Luca from ECCOM, commissioned by the social cooperative Cecilia ONLUS, which manages the initiative. The course is recognized and funded by the Department of Professional Training of the Province of Rome.
