Museum education and communication
Degree in Archaeology (University of Rome "La Sapienza"); Master in Museum Studies (University of Leicester); Master in Technological Instruments for the Economic Evaluation of Cultural Heritage at the University of Ferrara.
Since 1995 she is member of Eccom - European Centre for Cultural Organisation and Management and she is currently president of it.
She realises studies and research projects in the field of museum education and communication, with special reference to the theme of culture as a means of social integration.
She has participated in several research projects related to this issue, such as "Cultural heritage as a Means of social Inclusion" (2003); "Heritage and cultural Activities in urban Regeneration Processes" (2006); "Suburban Areas, Culture and social Inclusion" (2009).
As member of Eccom, she has taken part in several EU funded projects (Lifelong Learning Programme/Grundtvig), such as "Collect & Share" (2003-2005), "Lifelong Museum Learning" (2005-2006), "Volunteers for Cultural Heritage" (2007-2009); "Museum education for young people" (2007-2009).
From 2004 until 2006 she has been in charge of the realisation of an archaeological museum within the prison of Rebibbia in Rome: the project – carried out in partnership by Eccom, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Cultural Heritage and social Co-operative Cecilia – was realised by museum professionals together with a group of selected and trained offenders.
She has published several articles and contributions on these themes and she lectures in many post-graduate courses in Italy and abroad.
